LaVonne is the Director of Client Experience and Director of Marketing at a privately held wealth management firm in Rockford, Illinois. She has 18 years of experience in the sales, public relations, marketing, hospitality, customer relations, and tourism industries as well as experience in non-profit management, financial services, event planning, and fundraising.
LaVonne earned a bachelor of science degree in communications with an emphasis in public relations from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and is also a Registered ParaplannerSM (RP®). She is a graduate of the Disney Institute Approach to Quality Service Program. LaVonne is currently working on her master of science degree in integrated marketing communications at West Virginia University.
LaVonne was recognized in 2008 as one of Rockford’s inaugural “40 Leaders Under 40” and was presented the Rockton Shining Star Award for her commitment to beautifying her community in 2007. She has served as an officer of the Board of Directors for the Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau and in a variety of other leadership and volunteer roles throughout the community. She is currently serving as a co-chair for a new pilot leadership development program for professional women called Lead 360 through the Rockford Area Chamber of Commerce. She also served as a member of the Village of Rockton Zoning Board of Appeals, was chair for the “Rockton In Bloom” beautification committee, and was chair of the YWCA 2010 Leader Luncheon.
